Take the Lipstick Test Before You Purchase the New Colour

Lipstick Test

I woke up early this morning about 7:00 am, ready to begin the lipstick test. I put on my makeup as I do every morning. I kissed myself goodbye in the mirror and went to work. After about three cups of coffee, I checked my lips and they still looked great. At noon, the girls and I had lunch, and then it was back to work. At 5:00 pm, my day ended. I got into the car, checked the rear view mirror, and what do you know. My lipstick was barely faded.

Permanent Lipstick

You can find many lipstick sets on the market, but the best thing in the world to me is semi permanent lipstick. I don’t know about you but I hate having to reapply. The best thing is that you don’t have to get it tattooed on like real permanent lipstick, which is just scary to me. New semi permanent lipsticks really do last all day, and you hardly ever have to check and keep doing the lipstick test in the mirror.

There has been some controversy over these lipsticks. When buying them you really do want to look into what they are made of. Some have been know to dry out your lips and cause damage. You are going to want to make sure the lipsticks are made of all natural chemicals and contain no wax.

Different Types

Several brands that carry semi permanent lipsticks are:

  • Lip Ink: A health botanical liquid lip colour, lasts up to 24 hours.
  • Henna Lips: Claims to be 100% natural, non-sticky, non-waxy, and lasts up to 18 hours.
  • Lip Sense: These lipsticks contain SHEA butter, which will keep your lips soft. It is also vegan and never tested on animals.

With any of these you should do a lipstick test whenever possible to see how the shades look on you and whether or not you like the texture of the lipstick.

The New Concept

My favourite lipstick right now is Infallible Never Fail Lipcolour. This lipstick last for over 16 hours and is much cheaper than most semi-permanent lipsticks. I just found many companies selling this set. This lipstick set includes lipcolour, a conditioning balm, and a mirror underneath. The best part is that I found this lipstick on sale at regular price of $8-$10 online. There are several lipstick sets that you can get, these are: Andie’s Rose, Diane’s Tuberose, Eva’s Caramel, and even Beyonce’.

LipStix Remix

Another very cool thing that is hitting the market is LipStix Remix. This is a lipstick mold for making new lip colours, or fixes old broken ones. You can find LipStix Remix all across the Internet, but the best price I have found is at Uk.shop.com and Amazon.co.uk.

With these new products on the market, at these great prices, there should be no reason to buy new lipsticks for a long time. Remember though, that lipsticks are like food products and should be replaced every six months or so. Get these new products and you may never have to perform the lipstick test again.
